These Pomeranians have been rescued from kill shelters and relinquishment situations and are urgently residing in foster homes. If you are considering becoming a Pommie Parent please remember to read up about the breed, review the expense that comes along with adopting a pet and caring for it yearly, and think about how your lifestyle may affect your prospective Pommie child. Remember adopting a pet is FOREVER, and if you are not sure if you can commit to loving and caring for a Pommie for the rest of it's life, maybe you should consider fostering first. All of our Pommies are pre-screened for behavioral, temperament, and health conditions prior to placement in a forever home. Adoption donations are between $100 and $500.

Once I was a lonely dog,
Just looking for a home.
I had no place to go,
No one to call my own.
I wandered up and down the streets,
in rain in heat and snow.
I ate what ever I could find,
I was always on the go.
My skin would itch, my feet were sore,
My body ached with pain.
And no one stopped to give a pat
Or to gently say my name.
I never saw a loving glance,
I was always on the run.
For people thought that hurting me
was really lots of fun.
And then one day I heard a voice
So gentle, kind and sweet,
And arms so soft reached down to me
And took me off my feet.
"No one again will hurt you"
Was whispered in my ear.
"You'll have a home to call your own
where you will know no fear."
"You will be dry, you will be warm,
you'll have enough to eat
And rest assured that when you sleep,
your dreams will all be sweet."
I was afraid I must admit,
I've lived so long in fear.
I can't remember when I let
A human come so near.
And as she tended to my wounds
And bathed and brushed my fur
She told me 'bout the rescue group
And what it meant to her.
She said, "We are a circle,
A line that never ends.
And in the center there is you
protected by new friends."
"And all around you are
the ones that check the pounds,
And those that share their home
after you've been found."
"And all the other folk
are searching near and far.
To find the perfect home for you,
where you can be a star."
She said, "There is a family,
that's waiting patiently,
and pretty soon we'll find them,
just you wait and see."
"And then they'll join our circle
they'll help to make it grow,
so there'll be room for more like you,
who have no place to go."
I waited very patiently,
The days they came and went.
Today's the day I thought,
my family will be sent.
Then just when I began to think
It wasn't meant to be,
there were people standing there
just gazing down at me.
I knew them in a heart beat,
I could tell they felt it too.
They said, "We have been waiting
for a special dog like you."
Now every night I say a prayer
to all the gods that be.
"Thank you for the life I live
and all you've given me.
But most of all protect the dogs
in the pound and on the street.
And send a Rescue Person
to lift them off their feet."

Britney is a sweet and happy little 6 lb girl who loves people and loves to sit on the couch and have her tummy scratched. She is 9 years young and walks on a leash but prefers potty pads to going outside. When she gets happy, she will spin in a circle. Britney used to be a show girl but retired early to be a pretty little luv bug instead. Britney would be happy in any home with other SMALL dogs, NO SMALL children or just by herself with a lap to spend time on. Britney is healthy and has plenty of love to give.
Hi, I am a sweet 16 week old female owner surrendered puppy. I love to give cuddles and wrestle with other tiny pommies. I am 3.5 lbs currently and am estimated to be 5lbs full grown! I am vaccinated with my first puppy shots and have been spayed as well as given my rabies. I need a loving home where I can be the child as I am small and delicate. Would you consider loving me?
Woof! I am Guinness as I was born on St. Patty's Day! I am a pure bred pommie boy but was too large to be a breeder dog so my family gave me to the rescue. I weigh about 4 lbs and am estimated to be 6lbs full grown! I am about 5 months old and fully ready to go to my new home! I would love to be the child of the house as I am still fairly delicate even though I LOVE to rough house with the adult pommies! Hi, I am Buddy "Poof" as my foster mom calls me. I am 8lbs and 6-8yrs young. I love to jump up and give cuddles or roll over for belly rubs. I am very gentle and get along just fine with other doggies. I only mark territory outside so far. I love attention and am very active.
Hi, I am Tommy also known as Bunky. I am a super sweet special needs senior boy. My rescue found out that I am not only blind but deaf too! Once I get to know the layout of my home and how to get inside and out I am fully house trained. I do not mind other doggies and never really stop moving. This is why I am hard to photograph. I love to be pet and carried as well. I sleep quietly in a crate at night for my own safety. Do you mind if I come and live out my years with you in safety and comfort? I am only 10 but might live another 5 yrs or so.
Chunk is a 4yr old male large pom. He is a beautiful chestnut red boy
with a great personality. Once he gets to know you he is all love and
kisses. He is house trained and gets along with other mellow animals
including cats! Chunk lost his home when his parents divorced and the
bank began the foreclosure process on his home. He had to live there
for weeks without electricity or running water. Luckily his former mom
cared enough to take him supplies during the day. Since coming to
rescue he is relearning that people are amazing and not going to
abandon him again. Bart is a sweet 9 month old Pomeranian male. His owners were unable to care for him properly and thus he would required his paw being amputated. He gets along with cats and dogs as well as children. He is about 8 lbs and partially house trained.
Beverly is a shy Pomeranian female about 2-3yrs
old. She prefers to have her home to herself, although we are working to
see if she can have furry friends that were not with her in IA. She
spent a good portion of her life in a chicken coop with 11 other Pomeranians
and more. For this reason she is shy and barks a little bit. She
gets along well with her siblings from IA but has shown some fear of other
dogs. She is about 9 lbs and is brown in coloration. She is getting
a pregnancy test on 8/1/10 and based on those results she will become available
on 8/4/10.
Blanca is a sweet
3-4yr old white Pomeranian female with black dappled ears. This little
sweetie loves attention and other dogs. She does not mind children
either. She has a lot of energy so she needs regular walks or a well
fenced yard to play in. She is learning house manners and how to live in
a home. She spent most of her life in a chicken coop, so please be
patient while she learns! She is getting a pregnancy test on 8/1/10 and
based on those results will become available as of 8/4/10.
Diva is a 3-5yr old white female Pomeranian. Diva lives up to her little
name with her prancing and primadonna looks. She is super sweet and
learning very quickly what it means to be a house doggy rather than a puppy
mill pommie. She spent most of her life in a chicken coop in IA and as of
Aug 1st we will know if she is pregnant or not! She can be adopted on Aug
7th-8th based on the results of her pregnancy test.

Natasha is a sweet
little 5lb brown sable girl is about 4-5yrs old. She loves other dogs,
but can be shy with people. She spent most of her life in an IA puppy
mill. For this reason she is learning how to live in a home and have
house manners. She is very quiet and likes to be talked to softly.
She is getting a pregnancy test on 8/1/10 and depending on these results will
be available as of 8/4/10.

Roxann is a super
sweet and fully loving pommie girl. She weighs about 7lbs and LOVES
children and adults alike. She insists that she gets attention by running up an
nuzzling you. She will give you endless kisses and beg for butt
scratches. She spent most of her life in an IA puppy mill but has
adjusted very well to living with people. She is learning house manners
and gets along just fine with other animals. She is getting a pregnancy
test on 8/1/10 and will be available as of 8/4/10 based on these results.
Rosa is a sweet 3-4 yr old orange female Pomeranian.
She grew up in a chicken coop at a puppy mill in IA. She is about 7 lbs
but very cuddly. She gets along well with other Pomeranians and does not
mind children. She is energetic and will climb over bay gates, so she
needs a well fenced yard and regular walks. She loves bath time and
getting snuggles. She will be available on 8/4/10 as she is in heat and
has to wait to be spayed.
Please pardon
Fanni's funny look. She was just coming out of anesthesia from her spay.
Her owner "dumped" her when they were done with her. She is
VERY small at 5 lbs and had a bit shy so she will hide right now. With
some gentle words and treat we are sure she will warm up quickly! She is
good with other dogs and seems to be partially house trained for now.
Fanni needs a foster home to help her adjust to life outside of a cage.
April
May
"The Twins" April and May
Please pardon
May's funny look. She was just coming out of anesthesia from her spay and
hernia repairs. Her owner "dumped" her when they were done with
her. She is VERY overweight and had hotspots that she is being treated
for. She and April seem to be sisters! April LOVES belly rubs, butt
scratches, and any other human contact. She prefers to have her own food
dish but is otherwise good with other animals. May seems to be partially
house trained for now. April needs a foster home to help her adjust to
life outside of a cage.
Spring is a very
sweet 7lb pommie female. She is an apricot parti merle. This means that
she is apricot spotted with a blue eye! She loves to be pet and cuddled.
She is sleeping in a bed with her foster mom and is learning house training
very quickly. She was "dumped" by her owner while pregnant, unfortunately
we did not know she was pregnant so she was spayed. She gets along very
well with other dogs and does not mind children.
Tiffany is a sweet
3-4yr old cream female Pomeranian. She was "dumped" with a large
hot spot on her back and a hernia on her abdomen. Now that those are taken care
of, she wants nothing more than to cuddle and loaf about with people. She
does get along with other dogs, but cats are unknown. She is a little shy
but warms up quickly. She does not mind children. She is also in
need of a foster home.
Please pardon #6’s
funny look. She was just coming out of anesthesia from her spay. Her
owner "dumped" her when they were done with her. She is VERY
small at 5 lbs and had a bit shy so she will hide right now and pretend to be a
nipper but she does not bite. He coloring is called a tri-color
black and tan with white. With some gentle words and treat we are sure
she will warm up quickly! She is good with other dogs and seems to be partially
house trained for now. This little girl needs a foster home to help her
adjust to life outside of a cage.
Hi, I am copper. I am a sweet 6-8yr old female pommie. I have tons of hair and love to be pet. I am very friendly and learning house manners. I am good with other doggies and people of all ages. I am about 6-7 lbs and would love to be your lap doggy!
Hi, I am lady Gigi. I love to do tricks for attention. I run run run
until the day is done. I am 3-5yrs yound and about 5-6 lbs. I LOVE
attention and will do just about anything you let me to get it. I am
very smart but not food motivated, attention is my motivator. I am
crate trained at bed time and walk on a leash very well. I get along
with other dogs and am about 80% house trained. If I can smell a mess
I will pee there. I love a good cuddle, brush, bath, or any other
physical contact. Please give me a home with kids! Ike is a sweet senior black and tan Pomeranian. He has a mild trachea cough but is otherwise healthy. He weighs about 7 lbs and is very friendly. He is good with other dogs and very mellow all around.
I am a wonderful 6-8yr old white pommie (mix?) male. I love to get pet while I wander around the house. Once I trust you (after about 24 hrs) I love to let you pick me up and pet me. I am a little "private zone" shy but otherwise am very confident. I enjoy the company of other dogs and of calm people. I am fairly quiet and fully house trained with a doggy door. Can you give me a safe place to live?
Princess is a 5-6yr old female sweet hart. She does bark a little at other dogs while on lead so she needs some training for that. Otherwise in her home she does get along with other dogs. She is very gentle and would be fine for a home with children and the patience to train her properly.
Roxie is a wonderfully kissy, cuddly, active pommie woman! She loves to walk with you or go for a car ride. She enjoys cuddling and gets along very well with other dogs. Poor Roxie spent most of her life as an outdoor dog, so she needs some help learning house manners. She is not a big barker, and the #1 reason for that is that she was born deaf! Despite this she is still able to play and live just like a normal Pomeranian. It just means that she will not bark at people outside or sirens going down the street.
Woogie is a super friendly little 8yr young Pomeranian male. He was found stray by the animal shelter but seems to have fairly good house manners. He reliably does his #2s outdoors. We would recommend a diaper indoors as he was neutered late and has a habit of marking territory. He gets along well with cats and dogs alike. He genuinely loves getting picked up and cuddled, so a home with children is not a problem for him!
Good
day, I am Yoda. I am a very sweet little 8lb pommie male. I have VERY
unique markings on my ears and face. I love children, other dogs, and
don't notice cats. I a a little shy but that is because I came from IA
and living in a chicken coop for many years. I am between 4-6yrs old
and enjoy running in the yard and going for walks. I am currently
learning house manners and getting pretty good at it. Can you give me
the home that I never had?

Princess Carson is a sweet
black female Pomeranian who has lost most of her teeth. This girl is
learning how to be a good house doggie right now as we just got her out of the
shelter on 7-18/10.
Grizzly is a sweet 7lb pommie
male. He was picked up by the animal shelter as a stray, so more than likely he
will need to learn house manners. He is good with other dogs and loves
attention and belly rubs.

Farley Sr is a tiny pommie male
about 8yrs old. He has been determined to have a thyroid condition which
requires a low cost medication for management and is a sweet little man who
loves to run around. He was obviously abused in the past so he is shy of
being picked up, but likes to watch you and gets along fine with other
poms. He is energetic and playful with toys.
Carter is a sweet 4-6month old
Pomeranian Male. He weighs about 14lbs currently. He *adores* water and
other dogs. He's a wrestler, and would spend hours a day playing with another
dog if he could. He'll get in the shower if you let him, and loves being
chased with the hose in the backyard. (or let play with the sprinkler adapter!)
He likes cats and he'll try to get them to play a few times a day, but a quick
nose bop and he retreats. He has no problems at the dog park, and isn't afraid
of larger dogs.
Positive reward/clicker training has worked really with him, if he's not
goaded/reinforced by other dogs barking he's very quiet, and usually doesn't
bark at all. 'sit' is really all he'll do solidly right now, but it's useful
for 'sit at the door and wait until I say "let's go!" to go outside'
'sit so I can catch you" "sit for food" etc. He is patient for
combing and nail clipping, but it's pretty low on his list of awesome things.
He needs to be crated overnight, or he will find things to chew on. During the
day he only goes in there for meals, but he usually naps in it in his own. He's
learning to like people, and will sit for attention. Getting up on the bed
first thing in the morning and giving kisses and attention is a new favorite.
Peaches is a beautiful cream colored female that was abused by her previous owner. She does not like men holding fists near her because the previous owner beat her with his fist. She gets scared easily and does not like to be around large dogs, more than one other dog or children. However, give her one day to get to know you and she will follow you everywhere. She loves to be petted and will nudge your hand if you stop petting her. She seeks a lot of attention. She also loves car rides and will sit right next to you on the passengers sit and look out the window. She is happiest and most excited when you return home from work/school: she will jump around, wag her tail, and follow you everywhere. She understands where she is allowed and where she is not if you take the time to let her know. She also likes walking around the neighborhood with you and chases small animals like squirrels. She is house-trained and understands a firm “no” and “stay.” She needs forever home that will give her lots of love and attention. (Not recommended for small children)
Pending!
Winston is an ADORABLE happy boy that just loves your attention. He is about 6 pounds of fluffiness and loves to play. Winston has lots of energy, plenty of love and is ready to be you furever pal today ! Winston gets along with other doggies, don't know about kitties though cuz there aren't any in his foster home. He is friendly and doesn't seem to mind children at all. He likes playing outside as well as inside and is happy to go for a drive too but is a bit energetic in the car so he needs to be in a doggie seat to travel.
Adoption Pending!
Tasha is a sweet 6-8 yr old white and cream pom female. She is a toothless little gal who likes to talk and prefers all 4 paws stay firmly on the ground. Once she gets to know you she will let you hold her like a baby while she falls asleep clinging to your arms. Tasha weighs about 9 lbs and should weigh about 7-8 lbs. Tasha needs a good and loving furever home as she does have cataracts but not so bad as to cause blindness. Tasha is recommended for a home with children over 8yrs. Fostered in Yorba Linda CA
Bixie
Age approx 9 yrs young
Hi, I am just as sweet as they come. Don't be fooled by my naked back, I am still full of life and love. I love to get cuddles and do the Pom Pom dance. I am fully house trained and sleep quietly in my bed at night. I do have a thyroid condition and am overweight because of this. My foster mom says that the medicine is very inexpensive if you keep buying it through the rescue. She also spends lots of time dressing me up and giving me belly rubs. I am sorry but I am very camera shy and so my foster mom is having trouble getting pictures of me. If you think that I might make a great furever pet please contact my rescue. LOVE and Kisses ! Bixie Adoption Pending! Beans is a wonderfully round little cuddle monster. He is always happy to be picked up and carried around as well as to trot around the house with other small dogs. Beans was originally picked up as a stray by orange co animal control, however his teeth were in good care and he already had his puppy cut. Someone really lost out when they did not come looking for beans! He is super quiet and lets you know when he wants something by nuzzling you. Beans is currently recovering from a hernia that was repaired and should have his staples out on 6/18/10. Temp. fostered in Buena Park, CA
Crestina is undergoing medical treatment for a severe yeast infection of the skin. Please check back for updates.
Crestina is a happy go lucky little senior girl about 10 years young. She is still fairly active and very cuddly. She was originally picked up by orange co animal control as a stray with a chihuahua friend. Unfortunately the chihuahua got a home without her. She is now with pom rescue and wants nothing more than to give everyone love despite the poor condition of her skin and fur. She will follow you all around and loves to look out the window on car rides. Foster Needed
PomPom is a very quiet 5-6yr old pom female. She has a slow heart rate. She loves car rides and walks on leash with a little coaxing. She enjoys loafing about the house as well as being carried around town. She is a very mellow girl and does not mind active poms, however she does not play much. New pictures of PomPom our special heart girl we are raising funds for! We still owe $350 to the cardiologist for her evaluation... Her medications are working! She will need a low dose of 2-3 medications for life to prevent further incidents but is now stable!
Shelly
A sweet 6-8yr old red Pomeranian female. Little Shelly was at Orange Co. Animal Care when she started to loose her hair. She was partly pulling it out! She did also have dual dew claws which had to be removed. We discovered this when she was doing her pommie dance and her claws caught one another making her fall down! Poor Poly-dactyl Shelly! She loves belly rubs and gets along well with other dogs. She very much would like a home with someone who can be around a lot. Fostered in Garden Grove, CA
Pepper is a tiny little 5 pound girl that is 10 years young but acts like a 5 year old. She is quiet and potty pad trained. Pepper loves being held and cuddled and will make a lovely lap doggie for someone. She also loves to chew on her bully sticks, yup she still has teeth ! Pepper doesn't have any apparent medical problems according to the vet so she has lots of life left to give to you. They hardly come any sweeter than her. It's hard to believe that her owner just DUMPED her at the animal shelter. Please find room in your heart for this great little gal. She will bring you LOTS of happiness and joy. Pending!
Bridgette
I am a very cool 5 year old lady that LOVES to cuddle, go for long walks and spend time with my people. You will have to search far and wide to find a sweeter girl than me ! Somehow I got stuck at the animal shelter but got super lucky as was rescued on the very last day that I was to be allowed to live. I am so grateful that I have a second chance. My foster mom adores me and would keep me if she could but my foster brother got there first and the landlord only lets one permanent doggie live there. I love my foster brother, he is a shepherd mix so I am OK with a little bigger dogs. I am a little bigger too at 13 pounds. I like car rides and I am a quiet girl too so I could live in an apartment or condo very easily. I like little kids and grown ups just the same so any kind of family works for me. If you can be my furever family please consider letting me love you !!!

Theodore
I'm Theodore and I'm the happiest pommie around. I'm 12 lbs of love!! I love people, dogs big and small and probably cats too because I'm easy. I'll chase you around just to kiss you or crawl in your lap. I'm 12 years young but don't let my age fool you. When you take me on walks you'll have a difficult time keeping up with me. I'm a little speed racer. I'm so fun and full of life. I will constantly make you laugh, give you love, and be your most loyal companion. Please consider giving me a forever home. I'm worth every pound.
I'm house trained, utd on all shots, fixed and ready for some lovin'. Fostered in Porter Ranch CA
Hi, i'm queenie! I love to cuddle and give kisses. When the rescue first got me I was COVERED in ticks! Now that they are off of me I am feeling much better. If you think I look like the perfect little furkid for your family please contact my rescue asap! Fostered in Lancaster CA
Vinny
I am a super sweet teeny tiny little 5 lb male pommie. I got lost and my owners never came to the shelter to get me. I was so scared I didn't know what to do. Now that I am in rescue my tail has not stopped wagging and I am recovering from the many flea bites I suffered while stray. I love people of all ages and have no problem with other animals. Don't you think I am cute? I could sure use a loving owner like you! I need a surgery to put my kneecaps in place. If the rescue can raise the $1800 this will alleviate my limp! Fostered in San Diego, CA
Howard
A 4-5yr old red sable male pommie. Howard was given to the animal shelter for supposedly having bitten a small child. Since coming to rescue Howard has shown no signs of aggression towards people of any age. Howard is a bit of a lazy man but gets along well with other mild mannered poms. His favorite things are bully sticks and pets. Howard will growl at overly active poms. Watch Howard on YouTube.com! Needing a Foster
Mr. Pete
I was lucky to become the shelter staff favorite after my owner decided to dump me off there. I spent many hours receiving lots of love from the staff and was very lucky not to have to spend time in the kennels instead staying in the office with the people there. The shelter staff fell in love with me and wished I could stay with them, but that wasn't allowed so they called the rescue folks to come and get me. The rescue folks are in love with me too. I don't ever really bark, but I am a VERY good conversationalist. I like to lay on laps and follow you around everywhere. I am pretty small so you have to be careful with me. Children under 10 are not my favorite things due to my small size I am a senior guy and have had most of my teeth out now and since they were pretty lousy, that left me with a heart murmur, but it doesn't bother me really. I am your typical lazy guy just wanting to spend time with my people cuddling up cozy-like. There isn't a person around that hasn't fallen madly in love with me at first sight., I know you will too !!!! Fostered in Rancho Santa Margarita CA
Lynx and Reggae were found abandoned in a partially constructed home where they were absolutely terrified and living under the house. After being rescued, they have been cleaned up and received the medical care required. Lynx is a sweet girl but would be most happy with Reggae whom she was found with for comfort. Lynx is about 3-4 years old as is Reggae her best furry friend. Lynx and Reggae are currently being boarded at the vet's office and are in need of foster care as well as a permanent home so that they can learn to trust as well as good doggie manners. They are about 10 pounds and have absolutely beautiful coats of pommie fur which they are very proud of. No doubt they will need work on house manners after being homeless but with a little love they should come around quickly. Adoption Pending
Casie would love a home where she can spend the rest of her days. She is about 10 and hasn't got the world's best working heart but it's still got plenty of love left in it. After her 92 year old owner had to be placed into a care facility due to dementia Casie needs to find a furever foster home or adoptive home with someone that is willing to give her plenty of love for the time she has left so she knows she is cared about and loved. We don't want Casie to spend the last year or two of her life homeless. She doesn't take medicine or need routine trips to the vet right now and is easy to take care of. She has a heart murmur that will eventually cause heart failure but presently is able to live a reasonably normal life. If you can provide this lovely sweet senior girl with a furever home please contact us as soon as possible ! Fostered in Hemet, CA
Mochatini
A Sweet senior female originally from Camarillo. This poor baby had to have 2 large hernias removed from her abdomen. She is very cuddly and loving. She prefers people to be around and to give her lots of pets rather than to be at the group home where she is. She gets along well with other dogs and weighs about 8-9 lbs. She is very active and loves to go for walks as well. Fostered in Simi Valley
DENA is a very loving little girl that could stand to loose a pound or two taking you on daily walks. She is only 10 so there is plenty of love and life left in her. Dena came into the Pasadena Humane Society shelter who contacted us to rescue her as they felt they could not adopt Dena out because she wasn't young enough for shelter visitors to love. Dena doesn't like to be "sniffed" by other doggies but gets along if she is not "bugged" by others. She would really prefer to be the only pet in the home. She is not nippy but does like to talk for attention. A perfect companion for a senior citizen. Fostered in Orange CA
JOHNNY came to us after being a stray out in the East Valley. The shelter called us to please rescue Johnnie because he has a shrunken eye which makes him very special. We had to give him a summer haircut because he was homeless for so long that his very beautiful full coat was too matted to brush out. Johnny will be a gorgeous full coated boy when his coat grown in. He is only about 4 years old and the shrunken eye doesn't bother him a bit. This very friendly boy will make a fabulous family pet for a very lucky family. He gets along quite well with the other boys in his group home and can't wait for his very own home and family. Needing a Foster
ODIE is the cutest fluffiest little bitty guy weighing it a MAYBE 5 pounds. He is only 5 years old and hasn't had an easy life. Odie is adjusting to having a home and not being a homeless vagabond anymore so he is still a little scared and may have been injured by the BIG dogs the shelter put in his kennel with him. Odie takes a little bit of warming up but is doing very well in his foster home. His foster mom suggests that he not have any little children around as he doesn't much like having all that fluffy fur pulled and small children might do that with a bad result. Odie was depressed when he was first rescued and seems to be recovering from his shelter experiences a little more each day and is working on his house manners so that thing around his tummy.... that's his belly band/diaper. A little love and devotion for this little guy will give him the miracle he has been looking for his whole life.
I CAN TAKE A LICKIN AND I KEEP ON TICKIN so I was named TIMEX, I am the nicest, sweetest most loving five year old boy you will find. I was homeless and looking for food one night on a dark dark road out in the country and got hit by a car. I was very lucky not to be badly hurt and the lady stopped to take are of me. She took me to the emergency hospital where my eye was put back in place and it's all OK now. I have a little bit of arthritis in my hips but a better diet will probably help me. I got a bath, a new hairdo and some vaccines and aside from a few scrapes I am good to go. I weigh 11 pounds and am barely knee high to my foster mom. I will make a PERFECT pet if you want a quiet sweet lap doggie to love you forever. Please give me a warm bed and loving furever home !!!! I don't like being a homeless doggie, it's dangerous out there you know. Needing a Foster
Onyx
Hi, I am the beautiful Onyx. I am a 12yrs young black and white pommie girl. I was saved from the animal shelter only hours before I was due to be euthanized! The rescue lady says that I am perfectly healthy and will live years longer. I am very quiet and prefer a life of luxury. I enjoy a good brush and a calm night on the sofa. I am a bit older so I would prefer a home where the children are all grown up instead of small and fast. I am super sweet and would make a great senior or stress relief companion. If you think that I might be a lovable addition to your family please call my rescue group.
Love and Kisses - Onyx Fostered in Hollywood,
I am called Buddy because I want to be your best buddy. I am about 8-10 years young and like to have my ears scratched and to be petted. I like to wiggle around on my back on the sofa too!!!! I am house trained and bark to let you know I need to go outside or am hungry. I am FULLY house trained! I get along fine with other doggies and like really soft beds to sleep on during my many naps. I'm easy to take care of as you can see my fur was all trimmed off when I got sprung from death row at the shelter so I could be all cleaned up pretty. I weigh about 8 ponds and have only 3 teeth left. It will take me a couple minutes to warm up but if you hand feed me I will be your best buddy furever!!!!! Please give me a chance to be your best buddy ! Fostered in Santa Rosa, CA
BRIAN was confiscated from his owner due to animal abuse. The terrible person that left scars on little Brian's body and blinded him in one eye is being prosecuted for animal cruelty, but Brian has no emotional scars as a result of this inhumane treatment. Brian is about 6 years old and has plenty of love to give, but since he wasn't loved in his former life, he doesn't have very good house manners and needs a little work in that department. Brian may have to be made available for court proceedings in the future but the rescue organization will take care of that for you. We will teach you how to use a diaper to keep Brian from marking inside while he learns house manners too so that he can go to a furever home and start his life all over again as soon as possible. Brian is one brave little boy that deserves second chance as soon as possible. Watch Brian on YouTube.com! Fostered in Santa Rosa,CA
Lucky is a very sweet 10-12 yr old pommie girl. She was originally found stray in Downy with a bad trachea and her weight was so high that she could barely breathe! Now that she is slimming down she is very kissy and active. She gets along very well with others and knows how to use a doggie door. She is also very quiet.
Currently housed in Hemet, CA
Bebe is a sweet little 8 yr old pom girl. She is learning a doggie door quickly and bonds very strongly in a short period of time. She gets along with any pom except her brother Pepe. She had to be given up because her momma had dementia and had to go into assisted living. She is very sweet and just a little shy the first day. She loves people and belly rubs.
Adoption Hold.
BAKER is thankful to be alive. After being picked up as a stray on the streets of Bakersfield nearly starved to death and barely able to stand he was taken to the shelter where he spent five more days without medical care. On Baker's first available day he was to be killed as un-adoptable when we were alerted to his need for rescue. BAKER is only around 5 years old and weighs less than 3 pounds and stands less than a foot tall. When BAKER arrived he could not stand up without falling over from weakness. Miraculously, all of the medical testing shows BAKER has no medical problems but was simply starving to death. After his first week, a warm bed, a bath and some food and baby formula BAKER can stand on his own and walk. He still has a long way to go and a few pounds to gain before he can receive his dental care and vaccines as he needs to gain strength. BAKER can go to a foster home where he can receive the attention he needs at this time but won't be available for adoption for about two months. Applications are being accepted. Hold!
